UTTOXETER GOLF CLUB – LOCAL RULES
1. OUT OF BOUNDS
a) Defined by white posts and painted lines.
b) A ball in the car park, clubhouse or rear yard.
c) A ball in or over any boundary hedge or ditch.
2. Paths and artificial surfaces are immovable obstructions.Relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 24-2. Tractor and implement marks may be considered as GUR and relief taken under Rule 25-1, but not shallow indentations made by green-keeping equipment (Decision 25/16).

3. STAKED TREES
If a staked tree interferes with a player’s stance or intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with Rule 24-2b.
4. The practice putting green and temporary greens are to be classed as a green and the ball dropped in accordance with Rule 25-3 .
5. The white markers in the fairways are 150 yards from the centre of the green and are classed as immovable obstructions, rule 24-2 applies.
6. Water Hazards are marked with yellow posts, Rule 26-1 applies.
7. LATERAL WATER HAZARDS

8. Stones in bunkers are moveable obstructions. Rule 24-1 applies.
9. Sprinkler heads, control boxes and wooden sheds are immovable obstructions. Rule 24-2 applies.
10. Direction markers are movable obstructions. Rule 24-1 applies.”
11. In the interest of speed of play and cases of doubt, a provisional ball may be played from short of the ravine across the 13th fairway in accordance with Rule 26-1. If the original ball is found to be in the hazard, the player may play the original ball, as it lies, or continue with the provisional ball in play, but may NOT proceed again under Rule 26-1 with regard to the original ball. Also applies when playing 14th tee shot.
12. The use of GPS, Rangefinders and other measuring devices are allowed for all play at Uttoxeter Golf Club.
