The 13th hole Par 4 is a fairly long hole with a raised tee area shooting to a raised fairway between two crops of trees. The testing second shot gives thought to either a lay up using a high iron before the very steep gorge or a confident fairway wood or low iron over the gorge onto a fairly flat green. Many a wayward ball has landed in the gorge which is crossed by a footbridge to the green on the other side. |
View of the 13th green with the gorge running left to right. The gorge is about 30ft across and this is the normal view from someone who has laid up short with their 2nd shot. |
